What each lot is tested for
An independent laboratory tests every lot before it is released for sale. The results and the lab's documents are published under the lot number. Lots that have not finished testing do not appear.
- Identity
- Confirms the compound in the capsule is the compound on the label.
- Purity
- The share of the measured material that is the target compound, by HPLC.
- Potency
- Measured dose compared with the dose printed on the label.
- Heavy metals
- Checked against published limits for heavy metals.
- Microbial
- Checked for microbial contamination.
- Endotoxin
- Bacterial endotoxin, where relevant to the compound.
